Use cases
For each project, we create a new ecosystem of trustworthy partners to increase the global competitiveness of our solutions. We put in place processes adapted to the size and complexity of each project in order to guarantee an efficient rollout within previously discussed deadlines and budgets.
Among the current projects, we can mention the following examples:
- Energy Producer and Retailer wishing to offer their customers the possibility to monitor energy consumption with the intention to offer cost saving measures and retain them in a highly competitive market. They could also control the network by acquiring data for a better energy flow management.
- Mechanical Meters Producer wishing to increase the value of their existing mechanical meters by integrating our OEM-Module into the housing. They could also offer their installed meters a second life by adding our Smart Reader.
- Technical Solutions Provider looking for ways to acquire data by using cheap, non-invasive Smart Readers to monitor consumption in real-time and combine the information with other sensors in order to provide strategies to reduce overall energy consumption.
- Services Provider offering detection of losses (or fraud) of energy in the network or at the end-user point with Xemtec’s solution, deployed along the network nodes and end-user points, giving the possibility to monitor in real-time the flow of energy or water in the network and locate the losses.
Xemtec distinguishes three phases in the customer approach:
- Goals Definition: Each project has its specifics. This is why it is of utmost importance to get to know key elements and factors such as deadlines, existing infrastructure, and available human and financial resources in order to avoid problems during the implementation of the global system.
- Pilot Project: The target of the Proof-of-Concept (POC) is to test logistics and practical aspects of a medium-scale installation starting from 100 devices to 500 devices. Xemtec’s service during this phase also involves the development of a concept (business model and operational plan) that will help the client prepare for a bigger deployment.
- Rollout: The ultimate objective is the rollout phase allowing the client to start the large-scale deployment and operations. Note that a large-scale deployment represents at least 5’000 devices installed over a period of few months to a year.
